She was the daughter of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia and Granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Her jewellery collection was the envy of many and included a beautiful sapphire which cost 1,375,000 francs in 1921 and was bought by King Ferdinand on an instalment plan! She was lovingly referred to as ‘Missy’ and this is certainly one talk you don’t want to miss.
